He is survived by: his wife Grace Watts Ikner Coones; and his sons, Howard "Rusty" Coones, Jr (KO) of Redando Beach and Pastor Robert P. Coones, Sr. (Irene) of Sophia. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
