It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Grace Ikner (Archdale, North Carolina), born in Tabor City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 29, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. A. Watts and Evelyn Duncan Watts; her former husband Edward Eugene Ikner; her husband Howard Coones; and her siblings, AC, Lacy, Junior, Buck, Buster Watts and Macy Stalvey.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Grogan (Craig) of Archdale, Wanda Ikner of Archdale and Rick Ikner (Tammy) of Archdale; her sister Annie Pearl Ward of Whiteville; her sisters-in-law, Kay Watts of Tabor City and Annette Watts of Archdale; her grandchildren, Michelle Garrett (Steve) of Thomasville, Lisa Byrd (Jason), Wilkesboro, Chris Choate (Jodi) of Rock Hill, SC, Summer O'Neal (Billy) of High Point, Amber Sykes (Wes) and Paige Vigneaux (Tim) of Hubert, NC; and her great grandchildren, Hayley Garrett, Elizabeth Moore, Obed Alvarez, Abigail, Victoria Byrd, Collins Choate, Joshua, Trinity, Alyssa O'Neal, Autumn, Jacob and Duncan Sykes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
