He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Garrett and Mabel Thomasson Garrett; and his sister Nancy Eanes. He is survived by: his wife Joy Osborne Garrett; his children, John Garrett and Joyce Leftwich (Jim); his grandchildren, Justin Leftwich (Brianne), Josh Leftwich (Hannah), Jillian Leftwich, Joy Peek (Micah) and Jenna Vogel (Ethan); and his great grandchildren, Vivien, Gloria, Emery, Simon, Andrew, Rosemary and Nathan.
