She was predeceased by: her parents, Arch Marshburn and Bessie Slack Marshburn; her husband Coy Proctor; and her brothers, Tom Marshburn and Vernon Marshburn.

She is survived by: her children, Vicki Smith (R. J.), Tesi Nance (Chris), Tim Proctor (Diane) and Clayton Proctor (Lisa); her grandchildren, Timothy Proctor, Nathaniel Proctor, Jessica Albert (Mark Brianna Smith), Gretchen Proctor, Brandon Proctor, Zachary Thompson and Dylan Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Kelsey Albert, Katlyn Albert and Annaleigh Albert.

Memorials in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
