She was predeceased by: her parents, Doc Tallent and Cleo Pendleton Tallent; her husband Carl I. Stevens; and her son Timothy Aaron Stevens. She is survived by: her sons, Jim Stevens (Carol) of Archdale and Larry Stevens (Betty) of Trinity; her daughter-in-law Janet Stevens; and her grandchildren, Peter Stevens, Susanna Hudson (Brad), Bradley Stevens, Tami Stevens, Danielle Williams (Brad), Dr. Jennifer Campbell (Rob), Jeff Beck (Linda) and Sherri Gerringer (Bryan). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
