She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Henderson "Hence" and Ethel Knighten Cain; her son Ronald Johnson; her husband John Overman; and her grandson Eric Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Johnson (Jean) of Thomasville, Sharon Starczewski and Dianne Leonard of Winston Salem; her grandchildren, Darian Johnson, Ashleigh Beard (Shawn), Joe Overcash, Jr. (Donna) and Ronni Royall (Rick); her great grandchildren, Steven Overcash (Jenny), Eli, Jordan Woodruff, Brock, Fiona Good, Laney Johnson and Taylor Martin; and her great great grandchildren, Clara, Charlotte Overcash, Leah Smith, Olivia and Penny Woodruff.
