He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma McNair Rimmer of Archdale and Charles Maddrey Rimmer of Archdale; his sister June Rimmer Canter; and also Kathy Hinkle Rimmer. He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Routh (Shane) of Randleman; his brother Ray Rimmer; his nephew Jefferson Rimmer; his brother Paul Canter; his nephews, Cliff Canter (Trish) of Richmond and Todd Canter (Gail) of Richmond; and his niece Chevis Trotter (Scott Burgess).
