He is survived by: his wife Betty Tindall Staton; his children, Barbara Staton (Alan) of Asheboro, Billy Staton (Patricia) of Trinity and Charles Staton (Stephanie) of Lexington; his siblings, Joe Staton (Paulette) of Raleigh, Milton Staton of Garland, Frances Lewis (David) of Garland and Mary Elizabeth Dowless of Garland; and his grandchildren, Tessa Lampart (Michael), Matthew Staton (Kelsey) and Jacob Staton.
