She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Short and Elizabeth Hare Short. She is survived by: her husband Larry Mitchell; her children, Deborah Mitchell-Terrell (James) of Greensboro, Victor Mitchell (Robin) of Archdale and Richard Smith of Asheboro; her nephew Kenny Livengood (Levaughnia); her sister Judy Livengood of Archdale; her grandchildren, Ashton Maupin, Ryan Maupin (Maggie) and Thomas Stone; and her great grandchildren, Darcy Maupin and Lola Maupin.
