She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Hoops and Beulah Hash Hoops; her daughter Brenda Sue Thompson; and her siblings, Edith Ann Hoops, Mary Brogan, Nancy Rhodes and Curtis Hoops.
She is survived by: her husband James Edward Chapman; her sons, James "Jim" Edward Chapman, Jr. (Regina) of Stephens City, Wayne Chapman of Trinity and Anthony Chapman of Trinity; her son-in-law Todd W. Thompson of Thomasville; her grandchildren, Felisha Solomon, Vanessa Rhymer (Jeff), Ethan Chapman, Crystal Moss (Jason), Amber Thompson, Dusty Thompson (Barbara), Hunter Chapman, Micki Chapman, JJ Brogan, Brandi Brogan, Danielle Brogan, Annmarie Brown and Steven Whitt; and her brothers, James Hoops (Barbara) of Tazewell, John Hoops (Margaret) of Oklahoma and Scott Hoops of Seagrove. She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.
