He was predeceased by: his sons, William Darrell Stilley and Mark Benton; his grandson Zachary Tierce Stilley; his parents, Gladys Smith Stilley O'Geary and Levy Clyde Stilley; his siblings, Louise Stilley Morris, John Cayton Stilley, Graham Stilley, Bill Stilley and George Stilley; and his brother-in-law J. D. Arthur.
He is survived by: his wife Martha Stilley; his son John Stilley; his stepchildren, Stuart Carpenter and Sandi Prescott; his siblings, Levi Stilley, Charlie Ray Stilley and Barbara Jean Arthur; his grandchildren, Luke Prescott, Rachel Prescott, Robin Stilley Morton (Matt), Macy, Ryan and Addison Stilley; and his great grandchildren, Lucy and Evan Morton.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Bridgeton Cemetery (227 Half Moon Rd, New Bern, NC 28560).
