He was predeceased by: his parents, Deronda Adam and Madge B. Young; and his wife Nancy Underwood Young. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Drayer (Jerome) of Willow Spring and Charlene Young of Holly Springs; and his brother Adam Young (Velma) of Pleasanton, CA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to covid restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service at Apex Cemetery, NC.
