He was predeceased by: his father William Edward Harper II. He is survived by: his wife Susan Harper; his children, Jennifer Higdon (Ryan) of Apex, NC, Andrew Harper (Catie) of Mebane, NC and Megan Harper of Cary, NC; his mother Gloria Lee Tuttle MacDuffie (Bruce) of Westminster, VT; his siblings, David Harper of Brandon, MS and Karen Davidson (David) of Castle Rock, CO.; his stepmother Cynthia Parker (Hugh); and his stepsiblings, John Sweeney, Jessica Sweeney Platt, Joe MacDuffie and Rob MacDuffie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as friends.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to Western Wake Crisis Ministries, ZOE Ministries or the Westport Point UMC pastor's discretionary fund in Bill's name.
