He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Searil Sutherland, Sr. and Eleanor Fredrickson Sutherland; and his sisters, Bonnie Childs and Cynthia Seaver. He is survived by: his wife Patty Sutherland; his children, Michael Sutherland (Christine) and Lucinda Ambriano (Robert); his brother Lloyd Sutherland (Christine); and his grandchildren, Antonia, Nina, Caroline and Lizzy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
