With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Michael Russo (Apex, North Carolina), who passed away on November 30, 2021 at the age of 19. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Frank and Jennifer; his brother Aidan; his stepfather Bryan; and his stepsiblings, Madison and Cooper. He is also survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

“We at the Core Sound Waterfowl & Heritage Center, Harkers Island, NC were devastated to learn of Robbie's untimely and tragic death. Robbie served as a greeter and at times a tour guide with much enthusiasm. His love of the museum and its staff and volunteers was infectious. He was always ready and willing to assist anyone with a task. Robbie kept the visitors well informed of the museum and its mission. We were hoping Robbie could come back next summer to share his gifts with us once again.”
