He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Maynard (Neisha) and Steven Maynard (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kasey, Courtney, Thad, Parker, Lacey and Shawn; his sisters, Brenda Creasy (Bing) and Diane Owens (Kenneth); and his sister-in-law Donna Pruitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Children's Ministry at Apex Baptist Church.
