He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Kurt Kuhnel and Katherine Voll Kuhnel; and his sister-in-law Rosemary M. Kuhnel. He is survived by: his wife Joan Crosby Kuhnel; his children, Kathleen Kuhnel Lewis (Richard), Joanmarie Kuhnel, Kevin J. Kuhnel (Kathy Robinson) and Michael R. Kuhnel (Stephanie); and his brother Fred G. Kuhnel. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
