She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond Holt and Viola Holt (Tingen); her husband Vince Thompson; her stepchildren, John Thompson (Karen) and Judy Cecchetti; her brother Joe Holt (Marie); her former husband Billy Joe Hilliard; and her stepson Ronald Thompson. She was also cherished by three step grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
