He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey McKinley Hunt, Sr. and Buna Myrtle Stalnaker; and his brothers, Leo Leonard Hunt, Chauncey McKinley Hunt Jr., Don Clifton Hunt, Dietz Dean Hunt, Herbert Alfred Hunt and Levi Edison Hunt.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Hunt (Matthew Smith) of Flagtown, NJ, Richard Hunt (Patricia Ryan-Hunt) of Apex, NC and Philip Hunt (Carla) of Fountain Inn; his grandchildren, Evan, Max and Avery; and his brother Paul Payson Hunt (Helen). He is also survived by 27 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hunt-Stalnaker Scholarship Fund at Glenville State College, 200 High Street, Glenville, WV 26351.
