She is survived by: her parents, Fred Olshan and Barbara Olshan (Konikoff); her husband Frank Mongone; her daughters, Gianna, Camryn and Brooklyn; and her siblings, David and Cara.

A fourth-grade teacher at Scotts Ridge Elementary School, Merri's selfless nature made her beloved by her students and colleagues alike, who stood fiercely by her side during her battle with COVID.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Merri's GoFundMe page for her daughters' education.
