With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Sue Lane of Apex, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Cyrus Rankin and Susie Ella Walker Rankin; her husband William Earl "Pete" Lane; and her son Alan Scot Lane-Murcia. She is survived by: her son Dr. Paul Andrew Lane (Darlene) of Radford, VA; her daughter-in-law Oliva Lane-Murcia of Evanston, IL; her grandchildren, Anna K. Mongold (Karl) of Harrisonburg, VA, Andrew M. Lane (Jordie) of Apex, NC, Jennifer S. Lane-Murcia of Iowa City, IA and Mateo S. Lane-Murcia of Evanston, IL; and her great grandchildren, Harper Kate Mongold, Joseph Lane, Palmer Lane and Laney Mongold.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Woodhaven Baptist Church (4000 Kildaire Farm Rd, Apex, NC 27539).
