He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Abernethy Cox; his sons, Nathan Hines of Cedar Rapids and Robert Cox (Sarah) of Wynantskill; his stepsons, Chase Wexel (Elaine) of Willow Spring, NC and Shane Wexel; his grandchildren, Cameron, Colin (Brooke), Sawyer Hines of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jasmine Hines of Waterloo, Iowa, Carly Federer (Travis) of Smithfield, NC, Lily and Jaden Ackerman of Willow Spring, NC.; his mother-in-law Deany Abernethy; his sister-in-law Kim Abernethy Kistler of Goose Creek, SC; and his great grandchildren, Jaida, Elizabeth, Lilly, William, Kora and Scarlet.
