He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurley Evans and Lucy Evans; and his grandson Ethon Abercrombie. He is survived by: his wife Ida; his children, Nancy Gooch (Steve), Mark Evans, Thomas Evans (Melissa) and Bobby Evans; and his brother Woodrow "Woody" Evans (Ann). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
