He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Ennis and Virginia Pulley Ennis; his sister Claudia Elizebeth Ennis; and his grandson William Joseph Ennis. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Gower Ennis; his children, Janice Ennis Kelly-Reid (Steve Reid), Jerry Lynn Ennis (Gina) and Terry Lane Ennis; his sister Cynthia Ennis Lawrence (Ronald); his grandchildren, April Lynn Ennis, Lindsay Kelly Weaver (Jonathan) and Joseph Taylor Kelly (JoAnn); his stepgrandson Kevin Ryan Wilson; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Jacquelin, Kinsley, Jaycee, Paityn and Macey; and his great great grandchild Dillon.
