It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Azarelo of Apex, North Carolina, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenzo Lanza and Vincenza Lanza; her sister Theresa; and her great grandchild Isabella. She is survived by: her sons, James Azarelo (Deborah) and Lawrence Azarelo (Theresia); her grandchildren, James Azarelo Jr., Frank Azarelo, Lawrence Azarelo, Jessica Azarelo, Laura Clark and Kristen McGuire; and her great grandchildren, Salvatore Azarelo, Callan Clark and Donavon Azarelo.
Therefore in lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to the Wake County SPCA in the name of her best and most loyal friend Molly.
