It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Kevin Merrill (Apex, North Carolina), born in Somerset, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 60, on June 18, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Robert Merrill and Erma; and his son Justin Daniel Merrill. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Schuster Merrill; his son James Brandon Merrill (Laura); his stepchildren, Harrison Foster Ashwell and Miranda Layne Ashwell; his daughter-in-law Amanda Merrill; his grandsons, James Emmett Merrill, Elliott Thomas Merrill and Carter Anderson Merrill; and his siblings, Ken, Chad, Peg, Kelli and Heather.

In lieu of flowers Jim asked that donations be made in his honor to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides scholarships to children of a parent who died in service to our country.
