With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gudrun Nelly Romeo (Apex, North Carolina), who passed away on May 5, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Gudrun Nelly departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gudrun Nelly. Though Gudrun Nelly may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Boehringer and Nelly Kauffman; her husband Vincent Romeo Senior; and her son Vincent Romeo Junior (Jeff Romeo). She is survived by: her children, Karen Viser, Gina Romeo and Denis.

A mirthful light in a sea of dark, devious Manipulation & Deceit. Loved holding her elbow & Escorting her to the car, despite objections from those shallow, jealous, & intimidated. She had a magnificent decorating style, totally European, classy, & timeless. I recognized, appreciated, & emulated it. luv&rip”
