She was predeceased by: her parents, Lexie Mills and Lela Mills; her husbands, Carl Wise and James Palmer; her grandson Jeremiah Warmiak; and her siblings, Ethel Allen and Charles Mills.

She is survived by: her children, Tommy Wise (Kaye), Tony Wise (Nicole) and Rhonda Johnson (JW); and her siblings, Jim Mills (Pat), Doris Kinton and Diane Godwin.
