He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Rish and Stella Rish; his wife Beverly Rish; and his siblings, Robert Rish, Mary Peel and Clara Collier.

He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Rish and Janet Thompson; his son-in-law Stephen Thompson; and his granddaughter Rebecca Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund.
