He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ned" and Mary McDermott McCormack; and his brothers, Diarmuid and Frank McCormack. He is survived by: his wife Jean Ryan McCormack; his children, Meg Maguire (Michael) and Eddie McCormack (Linda); his siblings, Aileen Bracken, Ann McGuire and Seamus McCormack; and his grandchildren, Hailey, Ned, Jack and Kiara. He is also survived by brothers in law; sisters in law; nieces, nephews and life long friends.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation or the American Lung Association.
