It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Steed Long of Apex, North Carolina, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Everett Steed Jr. of Durham, NC and Margaret Granica of Chicago, Illinois.; her grandparents, Joseph, Victoria, Frank Everett Steed Sr. and Martha Dupree Steed; and her mother-in-law Mable Long (Moody Allen Long) of Apex.
She is survived by: her spouse Moody Allen Long; her daughter Connie Long Moriarty (Peter Matthew Moriarty); her sister Pam Belcher Jones; her nephew Frank Settlemyer (Robyn); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Philip, Wells of Macon and Georgia; and her brother-in-law Lawrence Long. She is also survived by her husband's family members.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM and at 2:00 PM at the Apex United Methodist Church (100 S Hughes St, Apex, NC 27502).
