She is survived by: her husband David; her sons, Maxwell of Charlotte and Joshua of Raleigh; her mother Joan Scully of Hilton Head; and her pet Birdie.

In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be donated to the Carolina Tiger Rescue in her honor.
