He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob S. Stroup Sr. and Amy Stroup; his wife Annie P. Stroup; and his brother Jacob Stroup Jr.. He is survived by: his son Jonathan S. Stroup Sr. (April); his grandchildren, Jonathan Scott Stroup Jr. and Amber Rei Stroup; and his brother John Stroup (Paula). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
