She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Bartlett Ward, Jr. and Melba Askew Ward. She is survived by: her siblings, William Bartlett Ward (Sandra) of Winton, Mary Etta Flowers (Gene) of Murfreesboro and Teena W. DeSimone (Doug) of Southern Shores; her close friend Carolyn J. Hopkins of Apex; her brother-in-law Stewart Woodard of Conway; her nieces and nephews, Andrea Flowers, Joni Gray, Paul Ward and Michael Woodard; her great-nieces and great-nephews, R. B., Alex Ward, Michael Woodard, Ian, Eli, Dylan Gray, Macie C. Jernigan and Linley Woodard; and also, Scarlett Ward and Joseph S. Jernigan, IV.
