He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Belle and Young Hubert Altman; his wife Patsy Stephenson Altman; and his brothers, Wiley Max Altman, Sr. and Young Hubert Altman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tedi Altman Fagan of Raleigh, NC, Ginger Altman Bethune (Les) of Atlanta, GA and Marisa Altman Owens (Scott) of Alpharetta, GA.; his grandchildren, Connor Fagan (Alexa) of Clayton, NC, Mary Katherine Fagan of Raleigh, NC, Mel Bethune (Kayla), Clair Owens, Grey Bethune (Courtney), Reed Bethune and Sydney Owens; his great grandchildren, Ella and Merritt Fagan; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Altman (Y. H.). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home - Angier (300 E McIver St, Angier, NC 27501). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Neill's Creek Baptist Church (4200 Neills Creek Rd, Angier, NC 27501).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Neill's Creek Baptist Church in support of the Family Life Center.
