She is survived by: her daughters, Adrian Matthews of Charlotte, Kimberly Harrington of Linden and Tameeka Harrington of Angier; her siblings, Genevieve Bryant of Lillington, Genine Hardin (Virgil) of Bunnlevel, Kenneth Matthews (Patricia) of New Bern and Tommy Matthews (Sojourn) of Moncks Corner, SC; her uncle Charleston Knight (Mildred) of Chicago, IL; her aunts, Martha Matthews of Lillington, Beulah McNeill (Carl) of Apex, Alethia Melvin of Erwin and Louise McLean of Bunnlevel; and her close friend Larry McNeill of Bunnlevel. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.

Viewing will be at the Dafford Funeral Home, Angier, Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 10:30 am - 11:30 am, with masks required and not more than 10 individuals inside at a time, practicing social distancing.
