She was predeceased by: her parent Emmett Evans; and her siblings, Barbara Evans and Hugh Evans. She is survived by: her parent Georgia Eason Evans; her spouse James Brooks Gardner; her son Curtis Gardner (Mayi Tandouna) of Apex; her brother Wendell Evans of Eden; and her grandchildren, Laura Machuca and James Gardner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
