He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Milton Gowin, Sr. and Hallie Heath Gowin; and his sister Faye Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Betty Gardner Gowin; his children, Steve Gowin (Bobbi) of Los Angeles, CA, Bryan Gowin, Sr. (Shannon) of Santa Clarita, CA and Tina Cielen (Randy) of Huntington Beach, CA; his stepchildren, Jenniffer McMillan (Perry) of Leland and Jeff McLean (Rhonda) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Alexis Heisdorf of Fountain Valley, CA, Bryan Gowin, Jr. of Santa Clarita, CA and Ryder Cielen of Huntington Beach, CA; his stepgrandchildren, Kerry Doute (Mike) of Leland, Ally McLean of Boston, MA and Lindsey Garvin (Larry); and his great grandchild Rosie Gowin.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home - Angier (300 E McIver St, Angier, NC 27501).
