He is survived by: his parents, Wayne Peed of Angier and Gayle Kanon of Angier; his stepparents, Gale Peed of Angier and Jim Kanon of Angier; his sisters, Sandee Zechman of Angier and Winona "Windee" Peed of Angier; his aunt Sandra Young (Kemp) of Benson; his cousin Lauren Cooke of Bogart, Georgia; and his nieces and nephews, Raymond Zechman (Elizabeth), Dariene Watkins (Josh), Holly Latta (Ashley), Natalie Espinoza, Sophia Espinoza, Emma Espinoza and Jacob Espinoza.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Duke Cancer Institute, dukecancerinstitute.org in Ron's memory.
