He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Benjamin and Gladys Langdon Lassiter; his son Dennis Paul Lassiter; his grandson Chad Benjamin Creech; and his sisters, Louella Thompson and Hilda Barbour.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Thornton Lassiter; his daughter Ruth L. Creech (Kenneth) of Benson; his daughter-in-law Mary Ann Lassiter of Angier; and his grandchildren, D. Keith Lassiter (Angie), Stephanie R. Davis and Shannon Creech (Dorene).
