She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Adams and Blanche Owen Adams; her sons, Donnie Matthews and Stephen Matthews; and her siblings, Doris McLeod, Barbara Butts, Lulie Gray Adams and Lloyd Adams.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Matthews Melanson (Peter) of Benson, David Matthews (Valerie) of Fuquay-Varina and Eric Matthews (Laura) of Angier; her siblings, Ann Walker of Angier, Glenda Zimmerman of Winston Salem and Roy Lee Adams, Jr. (Maurine) of Angier; and her grandchildren, Nicholaus Danner, Noeh Danner, Savanna Matthews, Roman Earl Matthews, Alexandra Matthews, Kaitlyn Matthews and Sophia Matthews. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
