He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Allen and Mary Hodges Stocks; his wife Mildred "Micki" Louise Heath; his children, Susan Stocks of Hamburg, NY and Lubie Moseley Stocks, Jr. (Karin) of Raleigh; his son-in-law Robert Hellwig, Jr. of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Charles Hellwig (Kelley Hagerty), John Hellwig (Jill), Becky Johnson (Kemp), Suzanne Smith (Michael), Palmer Stocks and Caroline Stocks; his stepgrandchildren, Michelle Thorpe (Chris) and Paul Volcy (Nicole); his great grandchildren, Zackary Byrd, Kayla Johnson, Christian Hellwig, Dylan Hellwig, Jack Hellwig and Bobby Hellwig, III; his daughter Dorothy S. Hellwig; and his son-in-law Paul Volcy.
