She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles F. Keiger, Sr. (Gay) of Cape Canaveral, FL and Willie Brownlow Keiger; her husband John Mertz; her daughter Julia Vo (Kha) of Raleigh; her brothers, John Keiger (Mary) of Winston-Salem and Charles "Chip" Keiger (Brenda) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Ryder and Micah Vo of Raleigh; and her pet Shadow.
