He is survived by: his wife Shirley of Fuquay Varina, NC; his sons, Sherwood Taylor Sr. (Doris) of Wake Forest, NC and William Taylor Sr. (Vicky) of Durham, NC.; his grandchildren, Audrey Taylor-Thomas, Will Taylor, Jr. and Sherwood Taylor, Jr.; his stepchildren, Sherwayne, Faith, Maurice and Mitzie; his siblings, Reverend Charles Taylor (Edna) of Fuquay Varina, NC, Bobby Taylor (Marie) of Willow Springs, NC, Billy Taylor of Angier, NC and JoAnn Taylor-Walthour (Veronica Findley) of Raleigh, NC; and his brother-in-law Edward L. Blaylock (Elain). He is also survived by four step grandchildren; eleven great- great step grandchildren.
