He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Reece Hardee, Sr. and Minnie Richardson Hardee; and his siblings, Joyce Mangum, Calvin R. Hardee, Jr., Billy Ray Hardee and Judy Penny.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jonnette Parker (Richard) of Holly Springs and Melinda Hardee (Scot Kirby) of Morganton; his granddaughters, Karen Wilson of Angier, Amber Simmons of Angier, Amelia Hardee of Valdese and Julia Parker of Holly Springs; his great grandchildren, Chloe Simmons, Aaron Williams, Raeford Simmons and Paisley Black; and his sister-in-law Jeanette Hardee.
