He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Marrion and Maggie Carter Williams; his sisters, Estelle Baker, Dot Wood and Pearl Grady; and his grandson Austin Roberson.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Williams; his daughter Trudy Roberson; and his siblings, Kramer Sullivan, Judy Wilkins, Janet Smith, Gloria McLamb, Becky Currin (Wilson), Brenda Stephenson (Landis), J. M. Williams and Johnny Fortin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
