He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Mabry Smith; his parents, Milton R. Smith and Lottie M. Smith; and his siblings, Elma Smith, Foy Weathers, Edsel Smith, Odell Smith, Cecil Smith, Patricia Ator and Peggy Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Roderick Smith (Robbin) of Rocky Point, NC and Keith Smith (JoAnne) of Angier, NC; his grandson Dylan Smith of Rocky Point; his brother Milton Smith of Angier; and his pet Angel.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church (238 Chalybeate Rd, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 238 Chalybeate Rd., Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
