It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ray Batts (Angier, North Carolina), who passed away on September 15, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Augusta and Alice Nicholson Batts; his wife Billie Rose King Batts; and his brother Bobby Batts. He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Batts (Kim) and Mark Batts (Tabatha); and his siblings, Jeanette B. Johnson, Carolyn B. Price and George Batts. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
