She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Lentis and Maude Opal Penny Sorrell; her husband Chester Earl Stephenson; her daughter Rose Jackson; and her brothers, Billy Sorrell, Willie Joe Sorrell and Don Sorrell.
She is survived by: her children, Chester Earl Stephenson, Jr. (Sandra) of Benson, Danny Ray Stephenson (Diane) of Melbourne, FL and Barbara Jones (Donald) of Dunn; her son-in-law Tom Jackson of Dunn; her siblings, Betty Sorrell of Angier, Opal Coats (James) of Benson, H. L. Sorrell (Gayle) of Coats and Keith Sorrell (Linda) of Angier; and her sisters-in-law, Genevieve Sorrell of Benson, Joyce Sorrell of Benson and Callie Sorrell of Apex. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W's: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
