He was predeceased by: his children, Becky Renae Nickerson and Stevie Ross Nickerson; his parents, Cecil Willis and Ethel Lucy Salisbury Nickerson; his sister Patricia James; his granddaughter Lindsay Kenae Nickerson; and his stepsons, Joe Goins and Joe Pleines.
He is survived by: his wife Stella "Toni" Nickerson of Angier, NC; his daughters, Theresa Diane Nickerson of Bay Minette, AL, Donna Nickerson Vinson of Stockton, AL, Ethel Nickerson Hadley (Windell) of Perdido, AL and Tanya Nickerson (James Bentley) of Foley, AL; and his stepchildren, Linda Pleines, Dante Pleines, Daniel Goins, Tony Goins, Daryl Goins and Amber McLeod. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
